Ever since we signed her up and then when she turned 4, she has been asking when she can start her new school! Today was the day. last night we packed up her backpack with extra clothes and school supplies. This morning she easily got up, ate breakfast and was ready to go 30 minutes early!
While at school, Ellie and I went to the grocery store (wow, Walmart is so empty at 9 am!), played at home for a little bit before she took a nap, and I made first day of school chocolate chip cookies just like my mom used to make for me. :)
Kate just loved school and was mad I brought her home. She really wanted to stay longer. According to Ms. Sherry, Kate did very well, and with what she has seen, Kate will do very well in the program. They are starting to learn about their community so she drew a self portrait and her family. They read 2 books during story time. She played with the clay, in the kitchen, and outside. She ran around with three little girls. She even tried all the food at lunch!
She was tired when she came home but the cookies and relaxing on the couch for a bit helped her energy level!
Kate is very eager to be back at school on Wednesday as she has show and tell. She already has one of her many dinosaurs in her backpack ready to go!
