The Whited Family: Playing Catch Up!

Like I posted before, the girls were so sick in January that we didn't take many pictures. Then with all the traveling for the move to Huntsville, I have neglected this blog. Well tonight prepare for an onslaught of pictures!

Ellie is quite the Little Miss personality. She is constantly cracking us up with her looks and antics. She is all about accessories and Minnie Mouse. Great Grammie Kathryn got her a little Mickey and Minnie set like Kate's and Ellie just adores them. She sleeps with them in her crib. She carries Minnie with her. Already she gives her stuffed mouse more attention that Kate has hers in 4 years! I've caught Ellie with a toy baby bottle feeding her Minnie. I love seeing how affectionate she is with her "baby!"

Yes, Ellie is a Disney girl. While at the store last month, we passed a kids' couch that depicted Donald Duck and Pluto on the side. She pointed to it and said "Donna Du!" I couldn't believe it! of course 2 days later, she said "(M)Ickey." She is our talker! She has more words than Kate did at this age! She says Momma, Dad, Ish for fish, and her favorite word "Hi!" She greets everyone! She even greets the pinatas at the store! While at the airport, she said hi to everyone we passed. Of course if they said hi first, she would act all shy and bury her head against me. Oh she is a cuddler! She acts out parts of the stories in her books. While reading The Going to Bed Book, With soap all over they scrub scrub scrub, she scrubs her belly! She loves Disney's Little Einsteins and will help Rocket go, by tapping her legs and raising her arms in the arm to "Blast Off." She adores all things music! Instruments, songs, dancing. She bounces when she is dancing. It's hilarious! She does a pretty good job on keeping to the beat. I was listening to a match box 20 song in the car today and tapping out the drumbeat on the steering wheel. Ellie was tapping along on her legs! Tonight she identified her ears, mouth and hair!

All happy until she fell into the cold snow!

Oh and I know how to get into trouble by pulling things from the cupboards when mommy doesn't lock them or close the pantry door!

Ellie has a boyfriend names, Ben. He is a younger man (just 5 months old!)! Guess she takes after her Momma! We have play dates at the aquarium and shopping trips together. Yesterday, Ellie walked across the store to see Ben in her stroller. She leaned down to hug him, touch his hand and of course say "Hi!"

Oh and Ellie is a healthy girl! at her last doctor's check up after her ear infection she was 21 lb. 2 oz.. All the walking (and starting to run now) she is dropping ounces! She is tall! 31 inches at he 1 year check up. She is wearing 12 months and some 24 month clothes.

Kate is quite amazing too! We had her teacher do an evaluation for us before our meeting with the schools in Huntsville. She is already reading at a 1st grade, 6 month reading level. She is doing 1st to 2nd grade math. She is going science cards meant for 6th graders. Her writing amazes me. We did an experiment at home and she wrote and drew in her journal. She still loves dinosaurs, space and princesses (occasionally). She is ready to move to Huntsville and really liked visiting where we will live.Of course she would prefer if our house was next door to the Saturn V rocket but she has to settle for a 20 minute drive. :)
