Ever since we saw the ladybugs at my parents house, Kate has had a fascination with bugs. When we came home, I pulled out Eric Carle's,
The Grouchy Ladybug, and Kate has loved it ever since.
Last week we found a lady bug in one of the rose bushes She immediately told me," Mommy, it is eating the aphids!" We both took pictures of it.

One of Kate's gifts from her friends was a bug catcher. Kate was pretty excited when we found a beetle in the yard, and I caught it for her. She was fascinated!
Another birthday gift was a butterfly garden. We received the caterpillars on April 15, and Kate was so excited. It will be fun to watch them grow and change into butterflies. We will try to document it, and the ladybugs we are getting her.
