Stay dry and earn a reward

November has been a hard moth to potty train Kate. She did so well and then has decided lately that it takes too much effort to stop playing and run to the potty. Originally her goal was to stay dry for 7 days and then she could g to the balloon museum. That came and went many times and didn't work. Next we moved it to 5 days and then 3. Finally I decided that just to reward her and remind her what it's like to be rewards that if she stayed dry for 1 day she and I would go to her beloved balloon museum. Well she finally did it. So off we went on a Saturday while daddy had class.

When we arrived she was so excited that she cheered and clapped! Her favorite exhibit is hands on where you heat the air inside the balloon envelope and see how far it rises. The longer you heat it the higher it rises. She loves heating it, launching it, and watching it come back down. She finally decided it was OK to walk intothe Double eagle 2 balloon "basket" once I told her it wouldn't fly away with us in there. She thought it was fun to "use"the radio.Last time we were here Kate was afraid of the space balloon, but this time she asked to go. She went right inside and looked through the periscope and pretended we were flying somewhere in space. We could see Earth outside!
When we left an hour later she was happy and remembered why we went. Just wish it has stayed with her. Ah the joys of potty training. ;)
