Full of Hot Air

Saturday marked the opening of the 39th Annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta! What an absolutely gorgeous start the the week long festivities! The weather was perfect! Chris and I commented on how we have never been to such a beautiful, warm balloon launch! Too bad the evenings look to be cruddy so the glows might not happen. :(

Once again my cousin, Emily, and her husband, David, and their 2 kids, Gracelyn and Dillon, joined us. This year they invited their moms, Em's dad and David brother. It was great seeing Margie and Fred! I haven't seen Em's parents in 10 years! Kate was excited to see her cousins, and they do get along so well! :)Of course Kate was ecstatic to be going to see so many "Hot balloons" even if she did have to get up at 5 AM. She had the most sleep of the 3 of us. I was running on adrenaline and coffee. :)
