Farm and Planes

We spent yesterday morning at Lambs Farm. Not quite as nice as it used to be when mom took a group of her ESL families 2 years ago. Sadly the place is in disrepair. Still, Kate had a great time on the farm, carousel and train. She really liked the goat petting area. We were the only ones there and so she had all the animals to herself. She found one goat and she just sat down next to it and loved it. She leaned down and hugged it and gave it an air kiss. She must have been happy that the goat let her love on it unlike her dog. :) Kate thought it was hilarious that the goats were eating food from inside the hay bins!In the discovery center, Kate felt various animal furs and wools as well as pet the bunnies. The train was fun once it started moving. Kate thinks we should go as soon as she sits down. It was a lot faster than the zoo train in ABQ! Of course her favorite thing was the carousel and she road it twice. We wore Great Grammie out with the walking and heat so we headed home after lunch. Grammie took a nap, and Kate and Opa pulled out the airplane and continued to paint it. Kate was more awake this time and REALLY into it!!

They painted for at least an hour! At one point Kate even painted herself! She swiped the brush across her face too. Even though the paint says washable, it wasn't completely washable! She was stained until this morning even after two baths! :) She had a blast though. Now that it is dry she is finally playing inside her private jet. :) More of those pictures to come!
