Spoil City!

We were so happy that Grandpa and Grandma Oosta were able to visit over Memorial Day weekend despite the fact that Kate was sick. Yet an ear and eye infection didn't stop the spoiling!!! :)

Grandpa could hardly wait to give Kate her new friend, Elmo! I think about 5 minutes after they walked in the door Grandpa had Elmo out of the box and in Kate's arms.
Kate helped Grandpa put together her replacement truck that they got for her birthday last month. (The first one didn't have the tire holes drilled in the proper place. Little Tikes sent a new one right away but we hadn't assembled it yet.) Kate was fascinated with the screwdriver.
Since she doesn't have enough toys already (ha ha), Grandpa and Grandma had to stop at Toys R Us. Grandpa said that she really needed some blocks. Kate was fascinated with the abacus so it made it into the shopping cart, too.

Guess it's more fun to use the walker to push down the blocks!

She was so funny in the store. It's like she knew she was in a toy store just for her! She was so excited about everything! She loved the Elmo Live (too bad it's $60!) and she won't be getting it any time soon. Maybe Santa can bring her one. :)

Grandma thought she should have some bubbles so we had fun with those, too!

Sadly we didn't get to attend the Memorial Day Isotopes baseball game, but it was a little rainy anyway. We didn't get to go to the zoo either, but we did enjoy lots of Cold Stone ice cream!!
The trip was way too short, but we had lots of fun playing! We can visit the zoo, aquarium or botanical gardens next time! :) Of course maybe next time we can just have fun on her swing set when we get it later this summer. :)
