Can someone please tell my child to stop growing up so quickly? Kate is now 10 months old and changing every day.

The world has become such an interesting place to her and she is
constantly on the the go exploring it! She has mastered the art of cruising and sitting from a standing position. She is getting bolder every minute when it comes to trying to climb the stairs or walk along the couch one handed. She is even reaching for things farther out of her grasp to see if she can reach it. She has even stood for a few seconds (yes, only seconds) on her own. I know she is trying to get a hang of the whole balance thing so she can start walking!!! Of course the day she starts walking she will really be running. :)
I'll help get the wipes and empty the diaper genie!

Kate is a very physically active baby and not really a talker yet. We know she can hear us and watches us speak but she is more interested in moving that talking to us. Although she does have some adorable squeals of delight! (Yes, I was worried about the whole speech thing, but our pediatrician and my mom have calmed my new mommy worries.)
Kate is starting to wave at people although she is very selective. She loves her Cruise and Crawl jungle and she loves putting the balls from it into her stacking cups (and of course taking them back out again). She can't seem to leave Lolly alone, much to Lolly's dismay, and we are trying to teach Lolly that Kate is mobile now and her new safe zone is the stair landing.

Oh and of course, Kate loves to pull everything and anything off the tables or bookshelves!

her new car seat which she likes to climb into
She enjoys reading her books (Brown Bear, Brown Bear is a favorite) and she helps me by turning the pages. Some times we read very quickly, but she is enjoying the story time.
Reading a Valentine
It has been hard to weigh and measure her this month so these are estimations. She seems to still be around the 19.5 lb mark and I think around 29 inches. I can get her to lie still long enough to really get a good measurement.

My goodness.
Colin had his 6 month checkup last week (his last shots were pushed back a few weeks because of the chicken pox, which pushed this appointment back practically to his 7th month!! *sigh)
Anyway, my point was that he's a little teeny guy with a giant head. He's 26.5 inches and only 16.5 lbs right now, which puts him in like the 30-40ish percentile. But his head is like 75th or something. :-D
And I think Kate's new noise is great! Maybe she's trying to imitate Lolly after she's been teased by a baby too much? I'm glad you're not worried about the talking thing - because once she starts talking, she'll make up for it!! Then you'll be thinking "When will she ever stop talking!??!?!" :-D
O my goodness!!!! She is sooo big...we need to hang out soon so I can play with her!!!
