What's that wet stuff falling from the sky?

Rain has been a bit of a fascination to us since we moved to Alabama. While the locals will tell you that it was been an unusually wet summer, we are very captivated by it. Kate is really fascinated. She gets very excited when she sees it coming down. Poor girl was born in the desert after all! Rain is an unusual sight! We have learned that when you see the clouds coming in, you don't have a while before it starts, you have minutes. The mountains here really block your view. :) But on the upside, it is amazing to see the rain come over the mountains!

The one major difference is that these are thunderstorms and so Kate cannot play in the rain with so much thunder and lightning. She loved playing in the monsoons of the southwest! She is eager to buy a raincoat, rain boots and an umbrella!
