A couple of weekends ago Kate asked my parents for a birthday party. While we were planning a party anyway it was funny that she specifically asked them for one! Of course we invited her long-distance boyfriend, Brayden, and his baby sister, Emily. Kate was going to invite them to her space party in April, but we had to explain that they live too far away to attend. Mom bought dinosaur themed items and I made a Dinosaur Train cake.
Even though the kids see each other only once (maybe twice) a year, they get along great (just like their parents). They played and ran and just had a ball!

Kate was enamored with baby Emily. She loved watching her eat and see her little toes. Thank you, Brian and Tina, for letting Kate hold your precious little bundle. :) I am sure we will now have baby dolls named Emily. :)
Kate had already decided that Brayden could help her blow out her candles. I was so happy to see her share and was even happier that she didn't cry when we sang to her this year!
