Do Science Experiments, please, Opa!

This science kit was certainly a hit for Kate! Every day she would get the box and ask Opa to do science with her. Kate loved learning and seeing the reactions when you mixed sodium bicarbonate with the acid vinegar. BUBBLES!!!!After visiting the Dinosaur museum, dad found a small volcano to include in the kit. Even more fun!

The other experiment they did was cleaning a penny. It was supposed to be cleaned in just lemon juice, but it worked better once vinegar was added. Even before we started the experiment, we knew her hypothesis would be correct. Kate told us the water wouldn't clean the penny but the lemon would. :)
She did enjoy shaking the test tubes!
Comparing the pennies.
They used all of my white vinegar and baking powered on the experiments but that's OK! While at the store today, Kate kept reminding me that we needed more vinegar and baking soda!! Definitely a scientist in the making! (Note: Did you see Kate's MIT shirt from Opa and Oma. They keep telling me I need to save my pennies so she can go there!)
