Visit with Opa and Oma - Part 1

We were very happy to have my parents visit us for a week. Although the time together was too short, we packed a lot of fun into 6 days!

Mom and Dad arrived just as we finished Palm Sunday service, and we dashed off to get them at the airport and ate a delicious lunch at Fuddruckers. Luckily, Kate behaved there this time. Helps to have Opa and Oma to entertain you, I guess!

After a nap and dinner, Kate's spoiling began. She received her Easter presents. She loved her new t-shirts from the Smithsonian. Dad was giving a workshop in DC and stopped by Air and Space. Kate now has 2 cool shirts. She loves the Baker space monkey shirt. Peek-a-Boo! She then started to pull out all the many fun things from the other bags! She received two sundresses, ice cream shaped chalk, egg-shaped soap, froggy sunglasses, and more!
Kate loves shoes these days and she was eager to try on Oma's!

The next morning we had to stay home to wait for the repair guy to fix the oven. Luckily he came quickly and it wasn't too major of a repair. At least the stove heated up again! After than we spent a gorgeous day at the Botanical Garden. Opa ran Kate all over the place, or is that Kate ran Opa all over the place! She fell asleep 5 minutes into the drive home! After nap time, Kate and Opa played with her new chalk and then he pushed her on the swing. These live in babysitters are great! I was able to get dinner prepared with no one else demanding my time or food!
