Sick Girl

As you know Kate is usually a very active, happy girl. She doesn't get sick often (thank goodness), but when she does it's usually a doosey. She woke up this morning with a fever of nearly 101, a red ear and just crabby. I called the doctor since she had a fever yesterday and the evening before. Turns out she has the start of a double ear infection (one side was bad and the other was getting there). We picked up her prescription of amoxil and came home. You know when Kate is sick when she doesn't move too much and vegges on the couch.
Luckily she is eating and drinking so we know that once that medicine kicks in she will bouncing off the furniture again. :)

And thank goodness for her daddy! He was my hero today. Less than 5 minutes from the doctor's office, Kate threw up in the car. The road is rather bumpy and combined with her full ears I think she just couldn't handle it. In my haste to get to the office, I forgot to grab an extra set of clothes just in case. Thank goodness Chris was able to duck out of work for a bit, buy a sleeper and Target and meet us at the office. Thank you, Sweetie! You are a lifesaver!
