Kate and I arrived safe and sound in Gurnee today. Kate couldn't wait to get into the snow last night and walked through it outside the restaurant with Opa. This morning she woke up (at 7:30 a.m Central time) and immediately wanted to go out and play. Well after lunch, we bundled Kate up and Oma and I took her outside. She had so much fun!
At the end of the cul-de-sac is large mound of snow (it was apparently bigger a few weeks ago). We walked down there and Kate climbed the mountain and slid down. :)
We brought in some fresh, clean snow and tried making maple syrup candy. It didn't have the right consistency but it still tasted yummy!
