Polar Bear, Polar Bear what do you hear?

I hear Baby Kate squealing in my ear!
Kate spent her 6 month birthday at the zoo on Saturday! She was fascinated with the animals that were moving around and the noisy birds. She seemed to enjoy her first visit. We certainly did! It was a perfect fall day (not too hot/not too cold), and it was nice to be out of the house doing fun family activities.
While we were at the zoo we discovered that Kate can stand up alone while holding onto something! It was so exciting to see her reach another milestone but at the same time kind of scary because I know that means she will be cruising around the house before we know it! The first thing she will be after is Lolly! She just loves her doggy. :)

Today we went to the doctor for Kate's 6 month check up! All is well! She is thriving - but we knew that already! Here are this months stats.

Height: 27 1/4 inches
Weight: 18 lb. 4 oz.
Head circumference: 42 3/4 cm or 16.8 inches

She received her flu shot as well. She did so well considering she had 4 shots and an oral vaccine. It's wonderful how toys can distract her from the tears and she realizes she really is fine. :)
Kate thinks she should call Daddy on Mommy's cell phone.

Hope you are all doing well! :) Hopefully in the next week or so I can post the proofs from her 6 month portrait session that we had on Friday. :)
